Scott Potter of Bozeman, MT has been named the new Tennis Director for The PEAK Health & Wellness Center’s new indoor tennis facility which is expected to be finished by March 1st of 2010. Potter brings a wealth of tennis experience to the position. A Native of New Zealand Scott moved to Bozeman as full scholarship player on the Men’s Bobcat Tennis Team at Montana State University. After graduating in 1994 with a Sports Management degree Scott began teaching tennis in Bozeman.
Prior to accepting the position at The PEAK Potter was instructing adults and junior players at the Bobcat Tennis Center. Scott served as the Tournament Director for numerous tournaments in Bozeman as well as the Montana State Junior Open which is a level 5 nationally recognized tournament. Scott is currently the Vice-President on the Board of Directors for the Montana Tennis Association and President on the Board of Directors for the Montana Youth Foundation. He also serves on the Intermountain Tennis Associations Junior Competition Committee. Potter is a United States Professional Tennis Association certified teaching professional. Scott and his wife Tina will be moving to Missoula in February 2010.

The first Annual USTA Intermountain Art Contest is officially open! We are accepting entries from junior players with the theme “What does tennis in the USTA Intermountain Section mean to you?” The winning design will be featured on the 2010 Tournament Schedule and Player Handbook (TSPH) cover, receive a 3-year USTA Membership and a $100 cash prize! The finished handbook size is 5.375” wide by 8.375” high and will be printed in full color on glossy stock.The USTA Intermountain TSPH is distributed at the end of January 2010 to our 38,600 plus members across the Rocky Mountain region in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
